  • The Garabit Viaduct, this Gustave Eiffel construction was built in the Cantal region.

    This summer, the Eiffel Tower puts the spotlight on another architectural masterpiece by Gustave Eiffel, the Garabit Viaduct located in the Cantal region. A 32-photo exhibit outdoors on the first floor of the monument provides a look at this 19th century construction, enriched with news and anecdotes, both unusual and hardly known to the greater public.

  • TALES OF THE EIFFEL TOWER

    Exhibition-visit, celebrating the 120th anniversary of the monument, has been held over into 2010. This exhibition extends the possibility for visitors to discover or re-discover the fabulous story of the Eiffel Tower via a multitude of objects, poster, photos, illustrations, films and interactive displays.

  • OPENING OF A “DISCOVERY COURSE” FOR CHILDREN ON THE 1ST FLOOR

    For the first time, a fun and challenging “discovery course” has been especially installed on the Eiffel Tower for children 6-10 years old, with the intention of better informing them about the history of the Tower and its creator, Gustave Eiffel: lots of details, facts & figures and anecdotes, from its construction to the present day.

  • CHAMPAGNE BAR
    At the top of the Eiffel Tower

    A champagne counter has been installed on the top floor of the Tower for an unforgettable and festive moment.

    Rosé or white champagne will help to titillate this Parisian experience; a souvenir not to miss.

    The bar is open every day from noon until 10pm.

  • 19th RE-PAINTING: 2009-2010
    THE EIFFEL TOWER GETS BEAUTIFIED

    Since its beginnings, the Eiffel Tower has been re-painted every 7 years.

    The 19th painting of the Tower began in March 2009, is expected to take 18 months to complete, and all the while, the Tower will remain open to visitors.

  • WEST PILLAR ELEVATOR CLOSED FOR RENOVATION
    The modernization of the West pillar progressing

    Modernization of one of the historical elevators is underway, undertaken by the SETE (Société d’Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel). The West pillar elevator will be closed to the public during renovation. Visitors will have access to the Tower at the North, South and East pillar elevator entrances.
    Visiting hours have not changed: the Eiffel Tower is open every day from 9:30am to 23:45pm (9:00am to 00:45am in summer).
